The EPC Generator requires only that you provide it a valid UCC.EAN/GS-1,CAGE, or NDC/NHIC Number. That's It! You are not required to know anything about the Company Prefix length or even know what the Company Prefix is. You supply the valid UCC.EAN/GS-1 Number and the EPC Generator translates the number into a valid EPC Encoding. However, if you wish to provide the EPC Generator the UCC.EAN/GS-1 numbers broken down into fields, the API provides functionality for that.
